Peggy Hayes MS, LMFT

Executive Director

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Peggy Hayes joined Solutions for Life as the executive director in November 2010. As the leader of the organization, Peggy develops, plans, and implements strategies for program continuation and growth while ensuring that all mental health activities and services meet the needs of the community. Over the past ten years, Peggy has collaborated with numerous local service organizations to improve and expand mental health services for Converse and Niobrara county residents. Peggy began her journey in mental health at the University of Wyoming, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in Health and Human Development with a specialty in marriage and family therapy from Montana State University in 1998. Since then, she has made it her mission to increase access for mental health services to rural area populations throughout the state of Wyoming..


Joanne Brown-Vossler / MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Joanne earned her Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Cambridge. Massachusetts. She obtained her certification as a trauma professional from the International Association of Trauma Professionals. Joanne specializes in women’s issues, domestic violence and abuse, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anger management for adults.

Elisabeth Butts

Elisabeth Butts / MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Elisabeth received her master’s degree from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She specializes in individual child therapy, play therapy, adolescent group therapy and EDMR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) therapy. Elisabeth began working at Solutions for Life in August, 2008


Krista Fenner / MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Krista has been a staff therapist at Solutions for Life for 3 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Spanish, and Mass Communication from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota and her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. Krista has extensive experience working in both outpatient and residential treatment facilities with both children and adults.


Terilyn Mayland / MS, CAP

Provisional Addiction Therapist

Terilyn graduated in 2013 with her master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She specializes in addiction , and individual therapy for both children and adults. Terilyn joined Solutions for Life in 2013 and is the primary clinician at our Glenrock location.

Katie Simonson

Katie Simonson / MS, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

Katie received her undergraduate degree from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee then went on to earn her master’s degree in professional counseling from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Katie began working at Solutions for Life in 2018.  Her specialty areas include individual, family and couples therapy as well as creative arts. Katie facilitates our summer youth program as our art therapy groups.

Karla Penfield / CSW

Certified Social Worker 

Karla, a Douglas native, earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Wyoming in 2004. While earning her degree, she worked for a local group home for troubled youth for several years. In January 2017 she joined the Solutions for Life team as a case manager, and, shortly thereafter, transitioned to a certified social worker position after completing her board examination. Karla is currently working on her master’s degree in social work from the university of central Florida and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2022.

Mattni Becker

Clinical Intern

Mattni received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming in Equine Science. She is currently working on her master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Wyoming and is on track to graduate in the spring of 2022. She specializes in incorporating horses into the healing process through group work. Equine-assisted psychotherapy can help with anxiety disorders, PTSD, addiction, ADHD and many other things. The benefits include increased self-esteem, emotional awareness, distress tolerance, adaptability, among many others.

Amanda Bruno / PPC

Provisional Professional Counselor

Amanda earned her bachelors in criminal justice from Penn State in 2018 and then went on to achieve her masters in rehabilitation counseling from Assumption University in March 2021. She is now a licensed Professional Counselor. Amanda has worked for numerous agencies in the human services field including; the Department of Corrections where she worked as a juvenile and adult probation officer, the Department of Family Services (DFS) as a family social worker, and she currently works full time for the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) as a voc rehab counselor and part time for Solutions for Life as a licensed therapist.


Hope Phelon / LCSW 

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hope graduated from Colorado State University in 1992 with a master’s degree in social work with specialization in all mental health disorders, anger management, domestic violence and abuse, personality disorders, women’s issues, and several others. Hope has worked in rural area mental health care for nearly 30 years and genuinely loves what she does. Hope is the primary clinician at Solutions for Life’s Lusk location.

Kara Mitchell

Kara Mitchell / MBA, CAP

Certified Addictions Practitioner

Kara graduated with her bachelors in psychology from Fort Hays State University in 2017, she then went on to earn her masters degree in healthcare administration in 2019. She became a certified addictions practitioner in 2021. Kara is also posseses her certfication in many other mental health specialities such as stress management and veterans counseling. She first started at Solutions for Life in February 2020 as a case manager and peer support specialist.


Jayme Donaldson

Jayme Donaldson


Jayme is currently the primary full-time provider at Solutions for Life and works part time in the intake department at Wyoming Behavioral Institute (WBI). Jayme is a board certified nurse practioner with extended training in the areas of mental health disorders and illnesses.

Throughout her career, she has worked in various medical settings including Wyoming Medical Center where she worked as a registered nurse in the emergency and neurology departments for several years before transitioning to the mental health field in 2015.

Jayme's knowledge and compassion for individuals suffering from mental health disorders makes her an excellent addition to the Solutions for Life team.




Dr. Frank Del Real


Dr. Del Real Frank is currently the Medical Director at Central Wyoming Counseling Center in Casper, Wyoming (CWCC) as well as a part-time provider at Solutions for Life. Dr. Del Real specializes in treating adults suffering from psychiatric and addictions disorders.

Dr. Del Real attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego where he received his M.D. degree. He then completed his residency in Psychiatry at Harbor, UCLA Medical Center. He has practiced as a psychiatrist for over 28 years.
